The vision of International College (IC) is to empower learners of today to be global citizen leaders of tomorrow.

Upcoming project

International College (IC) in Lebanon is one of the largest international schools in the world. With 3,650 students, the school has evolved throughout its long and rich history, dating back to 1891 in Turkey, to an excellent institution in a unique setting.

IC adheres to the highest standards of academic and extra-curricular educational opportunities in line with international accreditations, such as with the Council of International Schools (CIS), New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).

Chartered by the State of Massachusetts and abiding by the laws of the Lebanese government, IC remains a not-for-profit organization, independent and non-sectarian. IC’s many notable alumni across the world highlight the school’s success. Our graduates often remark that the school offered them a base for their life journey and career achievements, all encapsulated in the ‘IC Spirit’ both during their school days and right up to the present day.

The mission of International College is to empower learners to take initiative, think critically, and serve as role models in a global society. The curriculum aims for excellence at all levels and embraces the education of the whole person. Graduates of IC will have developed self-confidence, problem-solving and decision-making abilities as well as self-discipline, social and environmental responsibility, and an awareness of and respect for the connected nature of the global community.

Since its founding and via the financial aid program, IC has supported thousands of students thanks to the generosity of its donors. By providing financial aid, IC is able to help families currently facing financial difficulties thus maintaining the socio-economic diversity of its student body. This is important so that the IC education experience molds well-rounded and internationally-minded global citizens who will appreciate cultural diversity and ultimately become responsible leaders in their communities. The events that took place globally (COVID-19 Pandemic) and in Lebanon (Economic Crisis and August 4 Explosion) since October 2019 have made the entire IC community in need of financial support. As such the Board of trustees and the IC Administration have taken the decision to direct all fundraising activities towards the IC Annual Fund, the fund that is currently solely to support financial aid and increase tuition assistance.
