Unite Lebanon Youth Project - ULYP
Education is the best tool to change the future, starting today. Empowering vulnerable children and youth through education.
Upcoming project
ULYP (NGO #134) has been active since 2010 creating educational opportunities and giving equal access to quality educational programs to children, youth, and women in the marginalized and refugee communities.
ULYP’s aim is to propel a paradigm shift in Lebanon from a nation that is divided along religious, political, socio-economic, and ethnic lines to one where people can co-exist, unite, and work together for a better future. Through its educational programs, ULYP raises general awareness on mutual respect, tolerance, and acceptance of the other to create a dialogue of peace.
ULYP’s work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to fulfill his or her inherent potential, and to have a voice in the process of getting there. To ULYP, a marginalized person and/or a refugee is not synonymous with someone who lacks potential they just lack the means of reaching it.

Through its For the Livelihood of Youth - FLY - program, ULYP aims to bridge the gap the youth are facing between graduating from university and entering the workplace.
The overall objective of the program is to:
1. Prepare the participating youth for employability by ensuring they understand the value and impact of developing a professional profile, online and offline, and graduate from the program equipped with a professional CV, a personalized cover letter template, a professional online presence and offline portfolio which they will actualize with the support of the FLY program’s team.
2. Ensure that the participating youth are ready to be interviewed by potential employers and have understood, and practiced, all the elements that contribute to being a successful interviewee through role-playing and exploring different styles interviewers may have.
3. Equip the participating youth with a medium range new laptop and walk them through the process of filing and organizing their data for more efficiency through providing them with these devices to use during the program to develop their profiles and learn about keeping their devices safe and organized.
